Hello again guys Im about to replace my rear shocks and have a few Q's. I tried this morning but the exhaust is in the way on the upper screws and I found it hard to go about it any other way without taking the whole car appart. Now the exhaust will come off real soon anyway so that is not a problem but is there an easier way to get to those shock mounting nuts on top of the spring bracket instead of fiddeling from underneath? Thank ya :TU:
If they never been changed :eek2: , they are supposed to have clip-nuts under them. First soak them down with WD-40 or some other pentrating oil. If they are nuts, you will have to hold them with a boxed-wrench. Since the exhaust is coming off soon anyway, take a saws all and get rid of the tail pipes if they are in the way.
:Comp: Old wise man says .... Soak 'em good and use a distibutor wrench on the top , socket , extension , and rachet on the bottom . :eek2: :eek2: You heard it here on V8 Buick pal !!:Brow: :Brow: PS ~ Guess who the old wise man is ....... :moonu: p :TU:
