got a 69 skylark with350 worked . trying to id the rear for some 342's , code says its got 273's what is suggested to intsall?? is it 8.2 or 8.5 i know its a 10 bolt---please help----69sky
Should be the original 8.2 BUICK rear. Wanting 3.42's & a quality posi, it's easier to swap over to a built 8.5 A-body rear. The '68-70 Buick 8.2 10 bolt is an oddball... nice used '68-70 Buick 3.42's & correct ratio posi will be very difficult to source, & when done one will have a weaker r/e than the 8.5 A-body. :3gears: Roger
