I may as well be out snipe hunting. In the continuing effort to add as many options to the 1970 GSX Convertible Tribute project, I have always fancied this rare option.

So, if anyone has parts or complete set up, in any condition, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    MarkO

Sorry Mark, but I'm not gettin rid of mine

Not sure if the hardtop and 'vert versions are the same? Otherwise I have a source where I may be able to find one. Do you know if any other A-bodies from '70 had the exact same setup or not?

I do know that I'm looking for just the vent cover plate; it was missing when I got my car.

Hens teeth, I know, but I am still looking for a defogger for the vert. Wouldn't Chev Pontiac and Olds also work? I am not certain the production of these for the other makes, likely as rare or worse?

    Any help would be great.

Does anyone klnow for sure what year, make model interachnage with the 70 convertible Skylark / GS? i.e. A bodies: (Cheby, Pontiac, Olds, Buick) in (68-69?) 1970-72? I have not found a set up yet for my 70:TU:

(We know that the defogger set up for a convertible was unique to convertible...:TU: )

    MarkO,
I understand the 70 Oldsmobiles did not have them, supposedly they were not available until 71 for Olds. Can't say about the other makes, but I do know the duct work was different between the 70 & 71-72 styles This was because of the changes in the rear seat divider, so you would be looking for a 70 only unit. (unless you were willing to fabricate the 70 ductwork)

I have a complete set for a 71-72 Olds conv, plus a few extra motors, but that's it.

These pieces were very hard to find 10-15 years ago when I got the last few pieces to finish my set, and are going for big money now. If you are trying to add this option, it will be expensive.

Only about 70 convert cars with this option or so were offered in the 1970 model year and a few less in 1971. All were Flint cars I believe.
