I'm planning on installing new lower boxed control arms on my 65 Lark. Should I do the uppers at the same time? Would it be helpful to add a sway bar at the same time?

Also heard that polly is too stiff and steals the 'Buick' ride, I don't want a stiff/harsh ride, so rubber bushings are the way to go??

Can anyone recomend a good set of parts and where to purchase? I'm looking at all new parts here, don't want to re-use 40 years old parts or deal with the bushings.

Anything I need to watch out for?

After ~40 years, the upper bushings are probably also shot.

I have installed two complete upper/lower setups now, from www.hrpartsnstuff.com - the quality is fantastic and the prices are fair. They even come with a great set of directions, which is something that is a real plus for a non-pro like me. They also sell a bushing tool that allows you to leave the rearend in the car to change bushings, I am very glad I purchased this.

    Highly recommended.

You are correct about using rubber bushings. There are lots of suppliers selling boxed lower arms with rubber bushings. Change everything, meaning all 8 of the bushings. Now, what brand / size sway bar are you thinking of using?

As to the rear sway bar, I was thinking of just a stock one, if I even need one. I saw one at OPG for just over $80, a 1" bar, plus another $20 for the shim kit.

I first need to repair the front one as there is a half inch of space on the right where the bar is sandwiched in the bushings. All the front sway bushings are being replaced. The PO did the front control arms before I got it, so those are good.
