    Hi,

Can the rear bumper shocker be made to release out as I've just acquired a 1975 Barn find Electra 4 door that has the right side rear bar pushed in. I cannot see any other damaged but was wondering if it's at all possible to make the bumper shocker release and push the bar out.

Attach the stucked bumper to a tree with a rope and slowly drive forward :Smarty:

Looking at the side mirrors, it's RHD.
What's that black thing on the bumper at the passenger side ?

The 1975 Electra is the biggest Buick/biggest 4 drs hardtop GM car ever built, I'm looking for a '75 with the Park Avenue package.
    Please post more photos !

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes its right hand drive and has been converted since 1977 by Chapel conversions in Melbourne Australia as ADR rules force you to have a car converted unless a car is 30 years or older. To have full rego it needs to be converted to RHD but there are some execptions like Car Companies testing . This car has a neater conversion than my 73 Regal and is rust free running LPG gas (100 ltr tank). The real issue with this car is it has a head gasket or Cracked head issue which has had in sitting in a shed on a farm since 2009. That black thing is an aerial base for an old 2 way radio that is still in the car under the dash. I will work on this car slowly as it's situated over 4 hours drive from Melbourne now at my mums house so getting a Tank like that home will be very costly in transport costs plus I've limited on undercover car space . As the car is straight a paint job and engine fix will have it looking good again.

    Cheers,
    Jim

if u do tie a rope remove your bumper filler and the trim pnel under rear tail lights you may have to remove rear bumper. reason for this is if things go a little crazy you dont want to damage them as they are hard to find. plus the heat and time makes them brittle. ive got 2 75's one since 1995 and the other since 2005 can you post a pic of the dash set up i am wondering what it looks like
