rear axle swap on 1956 buick special

    Thinking about rear axle swap. I want to go to open drive shaft and updated trans. I know about Bendsteins trans adaptors but can any one give me info on rear axle? Which rear axle fits? Has anyone done this with the correct info needed?:Dou:

    I looked at the part 1 & 2 of the rearend install on the 51 Buick. Lots of good info there. I was wondering if anyone has the original rear axle width dimensions (face to face @ axle flanges) for a 57 Century?
