One of the nicest around. Not mine... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-Rivie...86eda288:g:X7EAAOSwcvdXO3OJ&item=371630908040
one of my favorite buicks . had one for awhile . what a boat , but the 455 made it feel like a camero . sold the car , but i still got the mtr.!!
IMO, the red one is SO much better. GS, optioned more heavily, no skirts. The red one even has a Buick steering wheel, and a front bumper that doesn't need to be replaced like this one. No contest for me. The paint does look nice on this green one.
Yes, look a the paint on the boot lid on the red car: when it's an orange, it shoud be orange  And that white interior is not doing it any good either... For the same price, I would take the green car all day long :TU:
I like the red Riviera it's straighter, I don't like the way the rear bumper looks on the green car. It is pushed up in the center, it isn't nice and straight like the red one. Both nice cars though. r
These are some very nice '70 Rivieras. One thing I really like about the '70 rear bumper is the body colored valance panel along the bottom edge. In fact, I wish the '70 - '72 Skylarks and GSs had a body colored valance panel to de-emphasize the massive chrome rear bumper a little .... and then have a couple of cutouts for the exhaust in the valance panel.
Seems the seller is active on Ebay and selling model cars, Found a rating service for car sales that causes a pause in bidding, one is a year old and one 12 years old. http://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/Blackhorse-Motorworks-Ltd-review-1937/
Same car here with a few more photo's, been for sale about a month now http://classiccars.com/listings/vie...ra-for-sale-in-st-simons-island-georgia-31522
I agree this is a stunning car. The GS, plus floor shift, plus color combo, plus short skirts, plus options, plus low mileage is a absolute killer package. It has massive curb appeal and thats what people pay for. And I saw the orange peel on the trunk. As with any car paying that much I'd want to have a set of eyes look at it. Because of the investment vs market value issue with cars like this not many people are willing to spend $15-20k on a show quality paint job and I don't blame them.
Yea - Not surprised at all though on this one. Riviera values can be very fickle based on color and options. Here was a 1970 which typically doesn't have as high of desirability among Riv enthusiasts and it demanded a very respectable price. I think the seller and buyer should be happy.
This is car looks good, but check out how filthy it is around the trunk seal...pic with trunk open obviously.
