Not much of an update, but it beats a poke in the eye...

The interior will be complete and it should be fired up for the first time on Monday to drive it into the paint booth to begin taping for the GSX stripes!

how about some detailed pictures of how you lay the stripes.

I suppose you are going to just lay the stripe color on in the general area then sand and mask it off. Then shoot the color over it.

 

Not sure what Nicky's plans are, but I am confidant the results will be spectacular.

 

The color is already done, stripes go on top. They were talking about a light black basecoat topped with a semi-gloss clear. It's gonna take some talent to do it with thin coats.....it's in good hands.:TU:

 

Monday it will be back into the paint booth ... We just replaced all the filters & cleaned it ... I will test the Black with some test panels & let them dry overnight . The flattener is sensitive to mix

I should have it running Tomorrow :beers2:

 

I'll stop over with the race gas after lunch.

 

I'll bring the bleach!

 

Got 5 gallons of 112. We'll add half to Ken's car and half to mine (as soon as I plug the O2 bung - can't run leaded gas with an O2 sensor, from what the instructions say).

We'll add some 94 to Ken's tank and then fire it up!

 

Just curious what 112 costs where you are.
I payed $7/gallon for 111 yesterday.

I usually get 8 gallons of 93, and 2 gallons of 111. If I remember correctly I think it works out to about 97-98. :beers2:

Nick and I have a different version of "don't ask, don't tell". Well, I'm hoping he never tells me, but I have a feeling that day of reckoning is coming soon! I'll make sure he itemizes the yellow springs on the final invoice for ya! :eek2:
