RE:gas tank swap

    Hey all my neighbor has a 68' chevelle/70'monte carlo gas tank she's not sure the tank's of the body and my 70' post lark needs one my filler neck leaks if over half a tank is filled can I use her gas tank and what essentials do I need both her car and mine were/are 2dr 350/350turbo.....:confused: Rege

    Check www.gastanks.com but if you are taliking about using another used tank I would not do that . The 70 filler Buick neck is not remade. The new tanks are not that expensive.

    The car's kinda sold pending on me fixing all the minor things i.e the gas tank and window crank, so I don't wanna dip into my pocket....But yeah you're right I wouldn't want another used one for my own restored cars...

    i believe that the tanks are no interchangable between the velle & the lark .

    Hey Gerry thanx I told the guy they were already and if he runs into a problem to come back we'll make it fit, monster style.....I got my fingers crossed.....Rege..

    My GS has a Chevelle gas tank in it. The only difference I can see is the GS tank had some ribs at the bottom of the filler tube and the Chevelle filler tube is smooth. The anlge and length of the filler tube appears to be the same.

    Hey Tom thnx the guy already picked up the car and tank so unless he comes back over to complain I'm guessing it works...
