Hey all I'm putting together a 70' skylark that used to have hydraulics, I have gotten a powder coated frame from a 68' chevelle complete with poly body mounts and racing suspension is there a place that the frame vin codes should be seen acknowledging it from a chevy vs. buick and are all frame mounts the same on these two...Both of these cars were hard tops if this matters.. Thnx in advance for any and all help.....

I think the hidden vin number is on the right rear frame, on the top of the frame, in the area where the frame is straight. I would first check with your Secretary of state, vehicle registration. You may have to have a state inspector inspect and check the "confidential vin". Usually on an older vehicle they aren't too
    strict.

Unless 70 is different from 71???

It will be located on top the frame, LEFT side, about where the drivers door hits.:TU:
