Hey all I'm putting together a 70' skylark that used to have hydraulics, I have gotten a powder coated frame from a 68' chevelle complete with poly body mounts and racing suspension is there a place that the frame vin codes should be seen acknowledging it from a chevy vs. buick and are all frame mounts the same on these two...Both of these cars were hard tops if this matters.. Thnx in advance for any and all help.....
I think the hidden vin number is on the right rear frame, on the top of the frame, in the area where the frame is straight. I would first check with your Secretary of state, vehicle registration. You may have to have a state inspector inspect and check the "confidential vin". Usually on an older vehicle they aren't too strict. JIm Schlf palbuick@aol.com
Unless 70 is different from 71??? It will be located on top the frame, LEFT side, about where the drivers door hits.:TU:
