Hey guys.. I got a lotta respect forall you here. You've helped me answer many questions and helped me out with Ideas.. I trust your judgement.. So, whata you all think of my ride... I paid $400 for her, and she's come a long way.... any suggestions as to what else I could do... I do plan on Air shocks in the rear. Tinting the windows.. How about any body stripes, decals. anything like that... I would like to repaint the car either black with grey scoop, or solid black... maybee matalic silver with a black scoop... I duno, But I think I'd deffinately buy it again for $400 if it looked like this.....Ps, send some pics with your choices on your own rides.... I'd like to do something original, but everythings been done.?
Air shocks suck. Get air bags for in the rear coils. $400 was a deal. Red oxidizes. (sp?) Get a little buffer wheel from an autoparts or Walmart etc. Be careful around the edges and corners give it a buff and a wax and wow. Then again maybe it shines beautiful and my laptop screen just makes it look a little dull. Black stripeing or pin stripeing works well with red and your interior and would tie in with your scoop. A factory type or if they make a repo rear spoiler it would give it more musclecar look. I would paint the spoiler black to match the scoop and any stripeing. The sport mirrors would also help transform it into instantly recogniseable musclecar. Some Buick engine emblems on the fender should work well. I have seen people with that grill paint it black because the chrome was shot and it worked to make it look meaner. Especially if you have a black scoop and spoiler. What about the engine and rear gears? It does not have to be the fastest car on the street but you want a little go to match the show.
It looks pretty good to me. I like the color. I'll second the vote that air shocks suck...New springs are cheap ($150) for the rear and airbags will cost you about $65. Silver or a gray shade looks killer on these cars. Poston has a repo stage 2 scoop for $90ish.
