Up to date i have not been able to find any information on any other cars with this color combination. The car is a late 1970 GS350, with seamist green paint, and pearl white interior. It orgininaly had a white top as well, but now has a dark green top(looks better anyway). From what ive heard sloan does not have the paperwork for the later 70 model cars, so calling them for information sounds like a waste of time. I have heard however that someone has the microfiche slides or something for the later production cars. Anyone know how i can contact him or get the information on my car?

It was sold in tampa florida originaly and i have the original owners name on the owners manual cover(was a lease to a doctor). I have other documentation that was found in the car as well, but thats about all the original information. The build sheet was aparently destroyed when someone recovered the back seat as i found several worthless pieces while searching.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

This info is from the 1970 GM Daily Car Reports for the GS350.

    Total 1970 GS350 production = 9948 cars
    Code H "Seamist Green" = 674 cars
Pearl White Bucket seat interior = 750 cars
Pearl White Notchback seat interior = 465 cars
White vinyl top = 1172 cars

Wayne Roberts has the microfiche for the later '70 cars. Sorry I don't have his # but I am sure someone on the BB will post it for you. I would still contact the Sloan Museum to be sure that they don't have the info for your car.

Thanks for the info Mike. I had some extra time on my hands so i decided to do some math based on the numbers you gave and some other numbers i found in a similar thread.

With 674 '70 GS350 cars in seamist green, that would be 6.7 %

With 1679 GS350's in '70 optioned with disk brakes, that would be 16.8%

with 465 '70 GS350 cars having Pearl notchback interior, that would be 4.6%

With 1172 cars having a white vinyl top, that would be 11.8%

disregarding the disk brakes as a variable, i determined that out of the 1172 cars in '70 that had a white vinyl top, around 80 were seamist green, and around 4 had pearl white notchback interior.

However i figure that almost all of the seamist green cars with white tops had white interior as well. Since ive only seen black and green tops on other seamist green cars, then if 30% had a white top that would mean 202 cars had that combination. If 50 % of those cars had white interior, that would make 101 cars.

Therefore i determined that the lower limit is 4 cars, and the upper limit is 101 cars with the same color/interior/top combination as my car.

Anyway, ill be calling Sloan to check if they have any info on my car, and if they dont ill try and find Waynes contact information. Thanks again for the information, ive written it down for future reference.

On a side note i see that you make window stickers. :beer Ill probably be buying two from you sometime this summer after the interior work is done.

You sure did a bunch of figuring there..:eek2:

Glad I could help with your numbers and let me know when you need that window sticker...

Sounds like a nice car Jacob, my '70 GS350 is similar, sans the pearl white interior (other two cars have it though). It does have the white top, and as much as I thought I wouldn't like it, it has grown on me considerably. Seamist has always been one of my favorite colors, and still is. Very "period" but a great looking color that shows off body lines at the same time. Post some pictures of yours if you can... Here is mine.

Sloan does not have the info on your car unless it was made before about Dec 1969. For 1970 cars Wayne has the balance of the months.

Sloan doesnt have my info so ill be checking with Wayne. Ill try and get some pictures uploaded on this computer (my other one is no longer connected to the internet). I too love seamist green because as you said, it looks very 70s. I really like the white top on your car as well, it makes me want to change mine over, especially since they are only 60 bucks or so. I just took my green one off because i felt a small rust bubble that i wanted to fix. After removing the top i found a area about an inch wide and 2 inches long that had some rust, and there is a small pinhole in the middle. I took care of it and the rest of the roof is still wearing the original seamist green from the factory, and is in good shape.

Ill take some pics this afternoon and post em up on the board. Later

Wayne usually takes a month or two depending on where you are in the batch cycle.
