One of none... Talk about skirting the border of misrepresentation. This guy is good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...003QQitemZ130215342660QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Seller says: Buddy ... don't worry about me. I won't be trying to con you out of anything. You have enough "cons" to worry about.
Well, I can't swear it's true but I did hear they produced one El-Camino version. It was built at the "Rutledge" Pa. production plant. Duane
"isn't that Brad's?" Yeah he wishes. "...i'd love to do that to a chevy" Bring one over and I'll show you where to cut. What I'd really like to do is make a 70-72 2-door Sport wagon, but nobody is willing to give me one to butcher. Duane
ou: I thought you said you only had two more cars in you, the Olds and the Chevy???uzzled: Does Bethers know about this???uzzled:
I didn't say I was going to keep it, just figured I would get out the magic markers and draw -------- dashed lines. Duane PS. The chevy will probably kill me.
No thanks, I like my ribs just like they are, but if you want I can send Bethers over to work on your nose. Duane
I really like the spec's on the carb: >The Carb is a 1970 OEM performance tuned and rebuilt Stage 1 850cfm Quadrajet< Another 1 of 1. The car does look nice to me, especially with the original wheels and redlines.
Re: I think this a nice looking car and well done, BUT... He'll be needing that lawyer when the new owner figures out what he bought...
Matt, Yeah we get it, that's why we are clowning around, because it's not worth talking about. "...Duane do we get the donor car back?" Well I don't know, it would take some sheetmetal from an El Camino, and would also require some custom glass work, so it would probably get expensive, but it sure would look cool. I would probably only build the shell, then let someone else finish it off. Duane
I'll delete my post and let the other 18,990 members of this board figure it out. I think it's a decent looking car that someone put a lot of time and effort into and the seller should and probably will sell it on the good points that it has without blowing all the smoke.
We have guy here in eastlake, ohio who did that with 65 special/ skylark wagon !! really looks good !! Needs a paint job though !! Moz
Hello Buick Faithful I signed in to this site just so that I could try to salavge something of my reputation. Here is an answer that I just sent to someone who keyed me in to this blogging session. I guess i really should have done my homework before I bought and before I tried to sell - this is what happens when you are a Mopar guy buying a Buick for the first time. Please take this as an honest shot at an apology to you all, and a commitment to make this right. "Wow - I think I better end the auction and redo the ad - I > really never had any intention of misrepresentation or > overstating what the car is. > Due to the lack of credible Buick sources in the industry that I could find, > unlike the Mopar community or even Pontiac, I went with what I > knew and what I was told - lesson learned. > I spent years building my reputation, only to have it questioned > by one vehicle transaction - not worth it! > I will modify the ad to state these things, then will end the > auction and relist with a modified description based upon the > facts so that there are no assumptions, no misunderstandings, > and no questions from the Buick failthful. My ad was laid out to be an > honest representation of a clean, nice car that is very > collectable based upon what it is, and that is what it will be > re wrtten as. > I apologige to you and to all that have been "touched" by any > negativity, If you still have interest, please watch for a new > listing - may not be until later tonight when I can spend more > time on it - at work right now
