Ok, I could be smokin my socks on this but I remember buying and using "grease paint" o No: sticks to touch up the raised white letters on my tires. I haven't seen/used these in 24 or 25 years but does anyone else remember these? Know where I can get them? o No:
I just bought some the other day you can buy it at Canadian Tire :Brow: I don't think you will find to many Canadian Tire stores in the states so I'll check on the name of the stuff when I get home, I'm at work right now
product name TIRE LETTERMATE T1920 White company TRIMBRITE made USA You should be able to buy it at any of your auto stores. Before I was injuried I worked for 16 years in the plastic extrusion bussiness and at one time work for a company that made body side moulding, door edge gaurd, etc. here in Canada called Spartan Plastics, our parent company was located in Holt Michigan they made the pin stiping and other auto products. Our product line Trimbrite, so if all else fails someone in Michigan should be able to help you out.
Many years ago I always used some white finger nail polish. The new stuff has more plastic in it for flex so last longer and it's cheap
you guys are the best...good work arounds and a company name...everyone I've asked has just looked at me like I was from another planet...and these were guys in tire stores and auto parts stores. Just in case you were wondering....I want to do the raised black letters on my BFG drag radial's so they match the radial TA's RWL on the front Thanks!:beer
Good idea:TU: That's a good back up plan as there is one right down the street. I knew you guys would be able to help...I should have my raised white letters by saturday! I can feel a rash of pictures coming on!!!!!!!! Thanks
Yep you could get fancy too. crafts store will have a rainbow of colors including sparkley metallic colors. silver with sparkles in it will give a nice look with a flash pic at night.
So while V8 was down I went shopping with the wife  Well the craft store did have the white paint pens and I had some extra time sooooooo......What do ya think??
Where there's a will.....there's a way!! :Brow: They do have red but it would take some skill and time to pull that off!
