that locomotive belonged to the Southern Pacific railroad, which is now part of the Union Pacific railroad. that one is probably wearing Union Pacific paint now, which is yellow and grey, like on this one:
while the pic was nice, under NO circumstances should anyone try to outrun a train!! yes, i know this pic was from a scene in a movie, but people do get injured, even killed trying to outrun trains.
