the am radio in my 75 le sabre does not work, also the clock is not working either. they on the same circuit? (would love to find an am/fm)

also discovered one plug wire is swollen in one spot. will this cause problems if left un checked??

the clock needs power all the time (even with the key off) to keep correct ......time.

the radio only powers up when the key is in the "on" position or the "acc" position ....
so the answer to your question would be "no, they are not on the same cicrcuit"
there should be a fuse labeled something like "RAD" or "RADIO" for the radio. and one labeled something like CLK/LTR for the clock/lighter circuit.

if your clock is not working, but your interior lights still work, your clock may either be not plugged in, not grounded, or just plain not working.
those clocks in the 75 and 76 models fail frequently. there are kits and/or people who rebuild them with modern works to make them both more accurate AND more dependable.

replace the plug wire and go on with life.
