I was at MicroCenter getting a new graphics card for my daughters computer and I heard a screaming formula 1 engine coming from the next room. So I had to investigate. They have a racing simulator set up. So I had to try it. Freaking awesome. The steering wheel had 30 buttons and the kick back was very accurate. The screens (3) gave me vertigo (in a good way). The sound was great, the shifter (paddle) was great. If I had the coin I'd have one!

    The wheels alone cost $500 - 1000!

I saw a similar setup a couple ago at MicroCenter & I'm sure they're even better now. I'd love to have one but for the same reason I'm scared to try golf - Pretty sure I'd like both way too much!

My employer installed the first truck driving simulator in Canada about 18 years ago. Nearly puked my guts out first time I tried it 17 years ago, which is highly unusual for me. Didn't provide a real world scenario IMHO. Several improvements with feedback have been made since then.

I've tried a few golf simulators as well.

The seat and steering wheel vibrations which supposedly recreated road feedback. I'd already been driving big rigs for 14 years and knew what to expect in any situation. The spring seated, spring ride suspension, 1977 Ford 8000 truck I learned on in 1992 gave a better ride.

It had been upgraded when I tried it again in 2017. My lunch was safe. :D

That sounds like an incredible experience you had at MicroCenter with the racing simulator! The level of realism and immersion in modern racing simulators is truly remarkable. It's amazing how technology has advanced to provide such authentic feedback with steering wheels, pedals, and even the visuals on multiple screens.
While they can be quite an investment, the enjoyment and excitement they offer make it tempting to consider having one at home if the opportunity arises. And speaking of gaming, if you ever want to explore gaming-related items or skins, you can check out https://bitskins.com. Thanks for sharing your awesome experience!

Way cheaper - interesting tidbit - the business of Formula 1 is airing tonight on CNBC. Formula 1 is running in Vegas this weekend - and its a city circuit. I bet the locals are pi$$ed!

I once stumbled upon a similar racing simulator while shopping for computer parts. It's incredible how immersive those setups can be. I remember feeling the adrenaline rush as I gripped the steering wheel with its myriad of buttons, feeling every kickback as I navigated the virtual tracks. And those screens? They practically transport you into another world. It's experiences like these that make me appreciate the advancements in gaming technology. Speaking of which, recently, I stumbled upon a solitaire cash review. It's amazing how something as simple as solitaire can be so entertaining, especially with the chance to win real cash rewards.
