I have an 83 regal, i am going to rewire the car. here are the electical componets i will be running. All componets are on switches with a total kill switch in the car. Right now it run a buss bar that is hot on one side and i just plug in for each switch. I have no relays and no fuses. This was the simpilest way for me to wire since i am pretty much clueless in this department. 1. Electric water pump. 2. Starter 3. MSD 4. 2 Electric fans 1 push 1 pull 5. Line lock 6. Head lights 7. Tail lights 8. Total kill Should I run relays? if so what size for each componet? Should i run a fused switch panel? Right now i have melt away switches that break at 20 amps. Thanks Dustin
Dustin, This is the best resource that I have found and used. With the help of Mark Hamilton I wired up all my race components as well as keeping lights, turn signals, etc functional. Here is the site: http://www.madelectrical.com/ You will need relays and you will need the proper gauge wire. Lay everything out on paper prior to installing. A lot of planning in this area will save you future headaches down the road. -John
