Big boned my ass.. let's just call a spade a spade..

I am fat.. which is hard for me to believe, since the first 50 years of my life, I was always kidded that I might blow away in the wind.. I was the only skinny person in my family.

AT 6'5" tall, I weight in at a svelte 180 lbs when I graduated high school... and then I filled out just a bit.. was 225-235 for decades, right up until I turned 50...

My sister says it's Karma.. after all the crap I gave my family members out their excess weight over the years.

After 50 it all went pear shaped...(literally) about the time I moved from the big shop, to my much more compact space here now, and quit walking miles per day, is when the weight came on. I have been able to stabilize my weight in the last couple years, now just have to reduce it, which I am working on.

I am currently putting together a 70 GS clone that will first compete in brackets, but it's ultimate destination is NHRA Stock Eliminator.. a class that is heavily based on weight with driver, so I am going to have to work on that.. The other car is a super class, throttle stopped car, so that one driver weight is not such a big deal on.

Other than I have to be able to get in and out of the thing..:eek:

Good luck, Jim. Losing weight means a lifestyle change; you just can't stop eating for a while. If when you reach your target weight you revert to your old habits, you will just put the weight back on. For some reason, the older I get, the less excited I am about eating.
