Valor Oil had a fire recently and are not sure if they will be up and running by the time the National to offer racing fuel. The track does have 500 gals of 110 at the pump. I am a dealer for Sunoco Racing Fuel and a racer in GS-R. I will be selling it at the track this year at my enclosed race trailer at the infield track. Prices are: E85-R $70.99 5gal pail 110 Standard $82.99 5gal pail 112 Supreme $88.99 5gal pail 116 Maximal $106.99 5 gal pail
Is this now a standard price for 110.....been a few years since I had my car up and going.....it was only around 10 a gallon then not 16 a gallon
Bidenomics. C16 near my house is 30 a gallon. I remember when I thought I was nuts paying 10 dollars a gallon for it instead of sunoco blue for 7.
Buy up the land they sit on and run the cost to participate thru the roof...and the cost to get there and stay there
Well some don't race that much and or can't spend that much all at once for a full 54 gal drum, hence why fuel companies offer them in pails. Buying in bulk is always cheaper on anything you buy. I buy 54 gal drums of VP113 because it's $8 a gallon cheaper than buying 5 gals at a time.
Key Oil at 3170 Industrial Drive in town has a pump which I believe is 100 or 110. It is 7.7 miles from Beech Bend. It must be 100 because it was not that expensive last time I looked. There's also a new Key Oil at 529 Glasgow Road which is north of town off Louisville Road (31w) near the Transpark. It's about 9 miles from the track. They supposedly have both 100 and 110. Pump E85 is available at the Speedway across from the Drury Inn on Scottsville Road. Its the only E85 pump in town I have found. However if you are coming in from the North, Smith's Grove has E85 at Speedway there, and it is available in Franklin to the South off I65. If you are coming in from the South, plain ol' gas in Franklin is cheaper than BG by 20-30 cents a gallon usually for some reason. You can also get 98, 100 unleaded and 11o leaded at the pumps at NCM Motorsports Park across I65 from the museum, but it is sold by the liter and expensive.
Off vp site. 54gal drum of vp113 1054......just a tick under 20 bucks a gallon, 5 gal pal 115 for about 23 a gallon. Where 110 is about 3 a gallon less. Still 900 a 54 gallon drum Psc has Sunco 110 54 gallon drum 567 tick over 10 a gal
All great info and yes always cheaper by the drum instead of a can. But then you need a drum pump also and the issue of hauling it. If you buy a drum don't get pulled over by a cop looking to make a quota. Especially if you are crossing a bridge or going state to state. Since 911 you need documentation, hazmat, and can be considered a domestic terrorist. Its basically classified a bomb from what I am told by local cops. So 5 gallon pails for me all the time. Slightly higher cost for safety, no issues, and it's always fresh fuel then. I have been burned by old fuel before and it's not worth the headache. John jr
The local Cenex station near me has 110 Blue at the pump, and it's still $9.99 / gallon. I doubt it'll stay that way for long.............
Heard others saying the fuel would get stale over time. I put the pump in, fill my jugs and then tightly recap the drum. When I open the next time there's always a hiss of air going in or coming out. I'll probably have to get another before BG. They just set it in the back of my work van then I use the forklift to get it out.
