Questions about a 71/72 skylark/gs

    There is a fairly pretty skylark or GS for sale in my area and I'm curious to a couple of things about it before I call if I ever do.

    its been in that spot for a bit 4 months I know of possibly more.

    my questions since the vin is a bit hard to obtain in its current position are:

    what year do you think it is? I think 72 because of the tail light surrounds it also has a n25 bumper or one modified to look like it.

    It has skylark badging on the rear quarters and deck lid so did GS cars have skylark badges and GS ones.

    I suspect this car is a gussied up skylark with GS Stage 1 badges on it.

    1972 skylark 2 door post. Not a GS (?) but is the money right?? ws

    Post coupes a real light and make good race cars. Don't let them say it is worth big $$ because its not.

    So I called and this is what I found out.

    72 skylark with a gs clone done to it.

    455 built to stage1 specs buy an engine shop in the local area with about 14k on it since it was built.

    stainless steel exhaust from the manifolds back

    th400 trans

    bench seat and column shift (which I actually prefer)

    green on green

    asking 8k

    Any documentation on the motor?

    You could go haggle with them a bit and see what cash talks about. I bet you could get it for $6500
