I'm hoping to drop a 455 into my 66 Special. I know TA makes the motor mounts, but I have a few other questions.
    1. Which cast exhaust manifolds will fit if I want to avoid headers?
    2. Should I expect a space problem for the AC Compressor?
    3. Should I expect a space problem between the passenger side valve cover and the AC box on the firewall?

I plan to do a test assembly before the engine goes to the machine shop, but I want to prepare for as many of the problems as I can in advance.

ANy exhaust manifold will fit with no problem, No problems with the a/c compressor. No problem with the passenger side valve cover unless you are running tall valve covers, the stockers will fit fine.
Tall valve covers will clear, but you will not be able to remove or install the valve cover with the engien in the car. Jim Burek

Why do I think somebody is about to say April's Fool? This all sounds too easy! When I dropped a 350 in to replace the 300, the stock valve covers would not clear the AC box, so I figured the 455 would be even worse.

Thank you for the good news! :TU:

Actually,, the 350 is slightly wider than the 455. Hey they put 400 's in the 67's, same dimensions. Jim Burek

Thanks. With a little luck, I will be test fitting the engine this summer.
