Anyone know the measurement from the block sidewall to the edge of the header? I especially need driver side. I called TA, but without having them attached to a block in the shop, they didn't have that measurement handy.

I would say that the measurement would be slightly different for each application. The headers aren't verbatim copies of each other. There will be very slight differences. Not to mention the way the head sits on the block. Head gasket thickness, machine work, etc. will alter the height of the head sitting on the block, and since it is at an angle to the crankshaft, will affect how closely the header sits to the block (although would be a very small difference), unless of course the tubes were to sit exactly parallel to the block, in which case no changes should occur other than ground clearance worsening slightly.

That said, you could still get a rough estimation by putting a set of headers on a long block and erring on the conservative side to compensate for any variances.

I too look for information such as this. Abstract information that is very difficult to obtain without actually doing it yourself, since most people don't go through the trouble of measuring every angle of the engine/car they build.

Sanderson builds headers and does go through the trouble of such measurements, but unfortunately, there are no Buick 350 parts offered at this time, only Buick 340 and Buick v6 headers (both long and short).

The more time goes by and the more I research, the more I find a growing need for Buick 350 headers (both long and short, but particularly short since there are NONE to be had at this point). With the upcoming aluminum heads, the need will be so great that someone is bound to start making some...
