Question on pads and calipers

I got a bit of a surprise tonight when I went to assemble my calipers. I have a 68 Skylark that I have converted over to disc brakes. I know the set up is from a 68-72 A body but not sure what year.
I bought the pads and caliper kits for a 68 and they are not even close to being right. I went online for Autozone and verified the part numbers were correct.
So my question for the brake experts out there. Are the kits and pads the same for all 68-72's ??
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks
    Jim

    Jim,
The 68 disc brake calipers were 2 piston calipers. You probably converted over to the 70 and up single piston caliper. Different pads, different caliper. Exchange the parts for 70 and up parts.

Thanks Larry. Thats exactly what it looks like. The kits I have are multiple piston set ups.
    Off to the parts store

    Thanks again :TU:
