I got a bit of a surprise tonight when I went to assemble my calipers. I have a 68 Skylark that I have converted over to disc brakes. I know the set up is from a 68-72 A body but not sure what year. I bought the pads and caliper kits for a 68 and they are not even close to being right. I went online for Autozone and verified the part numbers were correct. So my question for the brake experts out there. Are the kits and pads the same for all 68-72's ?? Any help is appreciated Thanks Jim
Jim, The 68 disc brake calipers were 2 piston calipers. You probably converted over to the 70 and up single piston caliper. Different pads, different caliper. Exchange the parts for 70 and up parts.
