Question OEM Brake Booster

    Yeah what was "pre 69" finish ? That Gregori guy say that they were all Gold cad and the finish just worn off. But i also read an article that 60's were a silver cad finish ?
    David does yours have any evidence of anodized (gold)?

    DL, mine did show traces of gold before I painted it years back. I cannot speak for 69 and earlier.

    I researched this, and back to 66 they were gold cadmium plated as well.

    I had brakeboosters.com do my 70 Wildcat's booster, and it was nice but expensive.

    I am just finishing the engine compartment on my current 66 Riviera and I bought the 4 part Eastwood "plating" set, and while it is better than black, it is by no means correct looking. I did my hood latch, MC cover and booster. Maybe next winter I will get those items done correctly.

    Dave, does "Brake Boosters" reproduce correct looking boosters?
