    Hi all
I was talking to someone today about doing my top swap and he said that some shops use short hair fiberglass in the tach strip channel. He said that rather than repace the old tach strip they fill it and then level it off with the short hair fiberglass, let it set and then staple to it. Has anyone tried this? The idea does not sound to bad because I know that stuff dries like a rock. Any input?
    TIA

Why isn't simply replacing the tacking strip an option? It's just a soft-ish plastic strip (nowadays) that's held on by metal fingers bent around it

Just replace the tacking strips, don't refurbish them with some fiberglass. I can't imagine why this would be the route anyone would take
