I have found a quarter panel for my GS, the problem is that it is from a post car and mine isn't. I need all the way from the middle of the wheel well to the door jamb replaced, can I use this quarter, or are the post quarters different?

    quarter panel

They are the same but the post panel has a piece cut out for the post. You could use the whole panel and fill in the piece that is cut out for the post or just use what you need I think i would use the whole panel. Dave If you have any problems E-mail me

First off, I'll agree with Dave they are very compatible.

Second, and more importantly... where in the sweet name of tap-dancing moses did you find a 67 quarter panel!?!?!?!

Tap dancing Moses? I always pictured him more of a klezmer man! He he
Thanks guys for the info. As luck would have it I located a GS in a NM junkyard that has a good quarter. It seems like I remember someone looking for a 67 quarter here a few days or weeks ago. The post car that I was talking about was in OK (375.00 plus shipping), the guy at the yard said it was solid but no pics available. If someone wants it, the number was 918-832-7077 the yard was "East-West Auto"
"Pontiac Heaven" (480-899-7873) also had one but had been cut right above the rocker. "Billions and Trillions" also had one, but they were complete a--holes and they wanted "around a thousand". I said, "Man, it better be PERFECT at that price" to which he said "buddy, these are old cars, they ain't gonna be perfect". If I was going to pay 1K (plus shipping) for a quarter that would probably need several hours to make it look good, I would buy George's NOS quarter.
Thanks again for the response, Michael

    East-West Auto

    Just a heads up,
I bought a door for my 72 from this place,it was junk and they required payment up front and on a card, without letting me see the part, before they would remove it. They did "discount" the price because they damaged the door removing it. When I saw it I told him I couldn't use the door and wanted him to credit my card and he wouldn't. I told him I'd have the credit card company canel it because the door wasn't as advertised and he said " this is why I like mail order"....

Maybe they have improved as this was 5 or 6 years ago......... and I bet that 67 quarter came off a car that was in the yard next door...... I'd want a real good description of " solid " if I was going to deal with them.

Hope they have changed, but I felt I should relay my dealings with East-West. I haven't dealt with Billions & Trillions but I think they are in Tulsa also, I could look at thier quarter if they are local.

Well, I'm glad I didn't buy the one from east-west. I was real hesitant to send the $ without even a pic.
