I have a peg leg in my 67 special. When i do a burnout the passenger side spins or is the drive wheel. I noticed that if i floor it in reverse the driver side spins. Iam sure this is totally normal but why is this?

Perfectly normal for an open carrier differential. To keep it simple, when you accelerate forward the engine's rotating torque through the transmission to the driveshaft turns the pinion gear clockwise against the ring gear, carrier and axle to the tire which attempts to "lift" the right rear of the differential housing up. The left rear tire now has better grip as it is being forced down. The path of least resistance through an open carrier is now to the right rear wheel, so it spins. The opposite is true when accelerating in reverse. :Smarty: :TU:
