Im pretty new to the website so forgive me if this as already been asked before. I have a 68 skylark conv. About 2 years ago I noticed the left quarter panel to be rusted out so I called one of the suppliers and promtly got the left side rear quarter. The right side always looked good: until the day I started removing all the paint in the body off. I removed up to 3/4 -1 inch thick bondo! Someone put in patch panels and lots of bondo and called it a day. So now the right quarter skin needs replacing. I started to call around. Nothing! no one has them. I saw a pair on ebay going for crazy money. Does anyone have similar issues? Thanks
Tabco Body Parts have them listed (these are partial quarters) but others and myself have had little luck getting the parts "in stock". Rumor is it that they damaged the dies. JC Whitney will get you patch quarters in a few weeks, though obviously these aren't concours. I can do some body work so they'll do for me, but plan to do some metal work......bondo gone
