how many people have bought from Cars old car parts, how good are they to respond, I bought the Quarter panel end chrome pieces and the are both the right hand side one point is up and the other is down and I even asked them if they were the same as Originals, he says Oh yes they are perfect, well not really to me, any buddy have a set of NOS ones out there.
Cole just listed some in "parts for sale" section "70-72 parts all kinds of stuff some will work on earlier cars"
I'd heard they were nice but not surprised by your report. Glad I paid up for an NOS pair. Just missed one LH @ the Nationals too that I'd have bought if the guy before me hadn't.
still need some NOS or Excellant LH or RH quarter extension chrome moldings 1971 skylark custom, mine are nice chrome but have some pitting.
Finding a pair w/o pitting & having them chromed might be the best option. I may have a pair- Almost sure I have RH w/o pits.
Thanks Dano would like to find both but if you want to send me a pic. of it and how much it may work for now, I can get a left from parts place but those are old ones rechromed but they are alittle fatter, cars has them but can't get there orders right.
I'll look & see what I have. The left one on my car has nice chrome but the right doesn't & I know I picked a couple pit-free RH that also needed chrome - The RH on Skylarks seems to be affected by the exhaust but that doesn't explain the LH on mine being good. Just got a decent chrome RH but it has a couple small pits. Shame the repro vendors can't just get the stuff correct & solve these problems & kill the price of NOS which aren't exactly easy to get either.
