Anyone know what would be correct for a 72 GS convertible? 1 was missing and the other APPEARED to be original. Metal , filled with caulk and "fingers" that held it in place. I've found "NOS" from a supplier that are plastic, blue with a gasket. They are listed to fit several A Body cars, Buick, Chevy, and Olds 68-72. It always makes me leery when "they" list so many correct applications. Many things tell me they aren't correct, but like I said, there is no way of knowing if the one I had was correct to start with.Any help appreciated.
Kevin, There were 2 different types used, and the usage may have been either a year or plant thing, I don't know. Eitherway they were metal and not plastic, so the repops you are talking about would be wrong for our cars. I also believe they are not reproduced, so your best bet is to get a set of used ones off this board. Duane
