One day it had to happen, i have one stripped hole in main body. So which thread size helicoil, should i look for? Thanks.
10-32 is correct. The two flat head screws inside the choke housing are 8-32. In many cases, a 1/4" longer screw will be enough to catch good threads and avoid having to install a heli-coil. The two screws behind the choke housing in the center of the carb are a tad short on the early carburetors. We install a longer screw there on the units we build here out of habit, as they are the two that are most likely to strip out. We also add hardened black zinc plated lock washers to all the fillister head 10-32's in the airhorn to help keep them from loosening up.....Cliff
Thank You guys for the answer. So far i managed to work that problem out by removing lock washer. And indeed its the one screw just behind choke tower. But i am goin to disassemble this carb again and again, so helicoils will give me some peace of mind. Peace Kacper.
