I inherited a Q Jet of a buddies 86 chev pick-up with a 305. Will this carb flow enough fuel for my 350? I seem to remember hearing that even the small block Q Jets will flow up to 750cfm, but im not sure if thats true. Right now Im running a 750 holley and the throttle shafts are worn out bad so was thinking of using this Q Jet instead of re-bushing the holley. Any recomendations?

From what I understand, quadrajets only came in two basic sizes 750cfm and 800cfm. There was a 750cfm series that where limited from the factory to only flow about 550cfm by a cast bump that limited the opening of the secondary air valves but they can easily be returned to 750cfm by filing the limiting bump back.

To determine if you have a 750cfm or an 800cfm check out this thread...
