OK I need some understanding here-
I have a 750 QJ on my 350, and I would like to clean up all the spaghetti to make the engine compartment a little nicer looking. I have a Poston's divider manifold which like all manifolds ,has the PCV valve in the back. Currently the line for it runs around to the front of the carb to a nipple there ( in the middle of the carb but down at the base). On the back of the carb are two ports that are plugged off, one high one low. Can either of those be used for the PCV port?

They *could*, since (iirc) they're both straight manifold vacuum, but you're better off with the much larger front port for the pcv. Too small a passage would mean less pcv action and more sludge buildup inside the engine.

Best to leave that hose in place.

There appears to be plenty of beef there so I could possibly drill it bigger and put new bigger port there equal to the front and cap the front off then, right?
    Thanks,

Yeah, I suppose so, as long as it's a straight path to manifold vacuum and you get the fitting installed tightly (leakfree). Never thought of that, might do it on the 455 I'm building. Hmm...

In looking at the carb I'm not sure it would work that way, if the secondaries aren't open would you just be putting the crud into a closed chamber? I'm sure there are some brainy carb guys on this site ---"what say you"? Please!! :Do No:
