putt putt

i got a 72 skylark 4 dr with the original 2bbl 350.im soon gonna swap the motor but for now i need it to run at its best since its my daily driver.lately ive been getting this putt putt feeling when i step on the gas from a stop or if im going at slow speeds.any ideas on what to look for.i think its in the carb but im unsure.

 

Does it have the original style ignition points system. I would suggest looking at ignition first.

well i checked all that but i believe i figured it out.talkin to my pops he said to adjust the air mix screws and throw in a new coil and some points sice they are all but ass old.but thanx for the inout bro.nice riv by the way.
