What brand hose do you guys like? Looks like there is Russell, Parker, Earls, Fragola to name a few. And if you like one brand for hoses and a different brand for fittings? I am thinking ahead for my transmission lines and I like what Larry did for his. I have no speed shops near me so its all mail order btw!
Are you planning on going flex line all the way from trans to cooler? Just curious. I've used a few different brands of fittings including Vibrant, Fragola, and Summit but I haven't done any pushlok, mostly adapters and AN hardline stuff, also since my car isn't on the road yet I don't have any real world testing data! The quality seems pretty comparable so far. One recommendation I can give is for Notchhead line clamps, I think they're a pretty neat way to secure both hard or flex lines, but they're definitely pricey compared to your standard adel clamps.
I have used Earl's, Fregola and Russell's fittings. Both seem equal in quality, and used Russell fittings and Twist-lok on external transmission cooler. (lines through the frame) Easy to work with, and you can dip the hose in hot water (160-200 F) to aid seating them fully. (I was doing some in February and found it made a big difference) All my fuel lines are stainless and swaged steel braid with AN fittings.
I have used the blue pushlok on my TH 400 transmission lines.I ran them up in the frame rail.Used them 5 years now.I ran them up to the external oil cooler in front of the radiator.Easy to use as well..
I've used summit brand on several projects........had a boat motor backnthst the hoses were 5 years old. The were not leaking but I could spin them on the fittings where they were tight when new. All ends got clamps added to be safe. Areoquip make good hose too.......I just use a hear gun to warm the hose and the ends slide in. Use the fitting for the hose you buy........don't mix hoses and fitting from different companies
Yes - will be running a new radiator cooler only to start with and monitor temps. It has a lock up converter to keep the temps down. We'll see.
