    Okay guys,

Weather here has taken a turn for the worst, winter is on its way, and I was hibernating in my garage last night....straightening, and sorting...

I looked over, and i have some magazine storage bins, and got curious about how many member's cars are in some of my older magazines. How many of you have had your cars published in a major magazine?

I will try to post a photo every now and then, with a location if i can, and we will try to see who all owns famous cars.

Hopefully, someday mine will grace the pages of one of these fine rags....

    John

How do you guys get into these? Do you have to write in yourself or does someone ask you to write in if they see you in a show or something? The Hawk had a small pic in Hot Rod in 1998, about a 1"x1" and no info, other than that nothing. :Do No:

My X-Camino was in Car Craft and Muscle Car Review. Both times it was pictured on a trailer, supposedly because they couldn't find me. It was also featured in the Bugle, but I did the write-up for that one.

Mine was in Muscle Car Review, but I don't remember when, as part of the middle block shoot out at Stanton, a day before the Pure Stock Race 2001 Dave Hemker's was in the Big Block shoot out at Milan, the year before. I'd have to look for it, but it was then, this is now. Maybe some one has their copy handy, mine are filed who knows where? But here somewhere, I have them all, and sort of know where they are, but..... Time, etc...
Also on American Muscle Car Video, the GS version is my rusty GSX going down the track, and on American Muscle Car Video, the V6 Turbo, GN, version is me going down the track in the '68 GS 400 Convertible, 4-speed, one of 351, and on the Travel Channel's American Muscle Car is my '68 GS 400 Convertible 4-speed, going down the track as well as my comment's about racing 4-speeds, against 'guys' and winning! Hence the next issue of Muscle Car whatever will show me winning best 2 out of 3 at the Summer Pure Stock Race at Stanton against a '64 SS, 409, 4 speed, and then again at the Pure Stock Race at Stanton in September against a '71 Ford Torino, 4-speed, I guess, I had to live up to my comments on the Travel Channel, Thanks to Dave Hemker for the carb help, and Mid-Michigan Motorplex and Dan Jensen and Bob Bodden, for putting on the Pure Stock Races, It's always alot of fun! A few years back I was lucky enough to get in Popular Hot Rodding , and a
magazine called Engine Masters. Also Car Crafts Readers Rides.
Popular Hot Rodding has always been good about doing Buicks and Olds. You Know , the other cars , the ones we love.
