Gday, joined 5 years ago when I was seriously looking at buying a 61 Bubbletop. Wife wouldn't let me. Same car came on eBay this week at near half the price I was willing to pay 5 years ago and has only had 3,000 miles added in that time. I'm in Australia, so first step is to get it out here which will take a few months. This will become my daily driver (I travel a 100 mile round trip each day). Will slot an LS3 in it for better fuel economy and reliability. One question I have is given it will have such high use I will need to have ready access to some replacement parts that will get well worn...any tips on best places to reach out to for parts ? Car is 50,000 original miles, 100% completely original except for bags, 19's and front ZO6 brakes very excited to join the Buick family Here it is....
Sweet car. Welcome aboard, this is absolutely the best place to be for Buick-heads. You will find the people here have a wealth of information and are more than willing to share it.
Welcome to the Buick brotherhood!! (Re: Proud New Buick Owner) Dear Chris and V-8 Buick fanatics, And you are still married to her? Where are you priorities?!?!!! Sorry, but you'll just have to put up with this sort of grief ou: now that you are part of da' brotherhood! (or is it? ) Ya' know . . . . I think you are goin' about this - da' hard way!! Uh seriously, I have a 65 which is a little more common - but parts ain't that easy to find. Admittedly, I have a wagon which adds to the fun. But the 63s were especially unique. I'll let the 63 fans speak for themselves, but any reasonable person would by a Smart car! Fortunately, those of us in da' brotherhood aren't bothered by this sissy reasonable stuff! :3gears: Well, welcome aboard and . . . . . don't say you haven't been warned!! Cheers, Edouard :beer
If I remember well, that LeSabre belonged to V8Buick board member 61Bubbletop :Comp: In that post from October 2007 he's asking US$ 33,500 for the car. In September 2007 he also advertised on the GM Inside News board, with an asking price of US$ 37,500 It will be much cheaper to convert the car to run on LPG. That way you can keep the Buick engine :TU: Here are two videos: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6iqNIPGV_XM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uqeFd6mC0Is" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Another Buick down under. Sweet, & welcome to the ranks. I'm new to Buicks myself- only bought the 'lark last year. I don't suppose we'll see you at the All American Day at Lakeside on July 1? Cheers, Chris/Webby
Beautiful car, welcome aboard! I was lucky to have visited Melbourne in late '07. Loved every minute of your city and its people. Devon
Welcome aboard Chris! I seriously thought about buying that car, it was only a few hundred miles from me and Jeff seems like a straightforward guy. I figured my wife wouldn't be too happy with me having three 61's though. :ball:
Swweeet Ride mate! Welcome aboard. Keep the Buick heart beating in that car, set up a FAST fuel injection system in it. You can get around 20 MPG if done right. I like the other suggestion. Want good gas mileage, Buy a Fiat.
Finally in my driveway after a series of registration and engine swap delays. But now my daily, did 160 Ks round trip to work and back today in near 100 degree (35 degree for those in Oz) temps and it never missed a beat, other than me sweltering with no aircon...might be the first upgrade.
Does that Prius with "USA 915" plate also belong to you ? When I lived in St. Kilda my neighbour had a Subaru 4WD wagon with a Garden State plate saying "L1ncoln" on it o No:
