I'd like to verify my current frame pads. I believe i got from POSTON back when I originally stuffed the 455 in the car. About 1997 ish. If I remember right I got the frame pads from POSTON and the motor mounts from TA.

If these are the proper pads I'm planning on welding them to my frame.

Why weld them? They look to be correct tho, the Gbody mounts are similar looking to the 64-67 mounts iirc

It can be very difficult to tighten the bolts with the lower control arms in place. Same with the king them for tightness. Welding eliminates the possibility of them ever coming loose. One less thing to sorry about.

  4. good luck welding cast iron and steel with any strength. why not just bolt them in like they are designed for?

With proper welding the cast can be welded to the frame with plenty of strength.

  6. a simple lock washer keeps the bolts from backing out. the factory never had issues with the bolts coming loose and in all the cars I've had I never did either.

These pads can be welded or bolted. Id rather weld them.
