Or funny stories! This could be fun... Two songs I remember: Free Bird- Lynyrd Skynyrd We've Got Tonight- Bob Seger Both were pretty much new songs then! Now for the picture: PS- The GSX went to the proms! God, I love that back seat!
LOL, yeah Jim she was/is a lovely girl. Lives in LA now. My father used to hate my doo, called me 'Prince Valiant' all the time. (More like Prince Valium back then)
Now I am showing my age---- Smoke on the water by Deep Purple You'e so Vain by Carly Simon yep new songs back then---I dont have a scanner to put my prom pics on but I know I was good looking in my Lavender Tux :Brow: with bell bottoms and platform shoes (times were different for colors back then). Back seat!!!!! O yeah, I had borrowed my Dad's 71 Electra, now thats a big seat. Living room on wheels
You know you're getting older when on a Friday nite you're talking about your old dates, cigars and what not instead of going out. Heck if I did what I did back then I would probably hurt myself real badddddddddd ou: Now I have to worry about what the kids are doing.
LOL, that is all too true, my friend! OK, time for my geritol... Jim, I had a '64 Rambler Classic at one time. An option on it (that I didn't have :ball: ) was a front bench seat whose back folded down to meet the back seat. Talk about a party car! OK, now I'm really showing age...
Now that would be a big seat! I dated a girl and we took her car to prom. A 1980(?) Citation X-11. Seat definitely not as big but it worked!!! Man I'd hurt myself trying that today! :Brow: Oh those were the days.
That is so cool,Ken! Pretty neat to go cruisin' to a prom in a GSX-doesn't get any better than that! :TU:
Damn, Gregg, I'm jealous! I bought my Rambler for $25 with a blown motor and trans that I subsequently rebuilt. I was casually looking through the owner's manual and when I saw that option, my eyes came out on stalks! Alas, after a thorough examination, no option for me... :ball:
