About a year ago I got it and had to replace the frame.I painted everything although not correct.I wanted to paint it to protect it and got carried away.I stumbled for awhile but got it in my head I could make a car out of it and take it to the BPG Nats.In the last month,I have made huge improvements.Although its a 70 by Vin,it is going to be made of spare parts we had laying around and it will have a 71 GS Saddle interior out of a GS and will adorn 72 GS grille and bumpers. All together,I only have 75 bucks in it so far,but alot of free labor. Pat
$75? You must have a really good nose for deals. So I have a favor to ask: Please find me a 350 for $0.29. (Get your car done first). Thank you.
Jason, You should remember that hood... I am putting a GS hood on it but this is a temporary spot for now to keep critters out. Pat
Looking good Pat. I've seen 1 Buick 350 unknown condition go for free if you picked it up and another that was complete and ran go for $1.00 so keep your hopes up.
$75, IS THAT IT? I wish I only spent that much so far! N iI still have a far way to go! Good Job Pat.
i have what i think is a '78 350... ran great when i took it out. still unsure if i want to sell it. seems the 350 is becoming as powerful as the 455's now.. i'm tempted to keep it and do my own work on it and build a replacement for my 455 lol.. car is lookin good though impressive.
Year not exactly important, I guess. From what I've been told, the later blocks have a higher nickel content. I also want through-the-pushrod oiling, and I need late '70's exhaust manifiolds to fit the car (Skyhawk). So, probably '76 or later is what I should be shooting for. Actually, cost is an issue right now. I'm not in a hurry, so I'm looking for a bargain. I need to finish the car first, anyway, and it already has an engine, albeit not a Buick. One step at a time. Oh, yeah....hopefully not too far from home either. Reid
