I am finally making progress again and hope to at least have the procharger turning over by next Monday. I think I will just wire the bypass open while I sort things out.

The fuel system is done. I used a Sx Performance pump, -8 to a RobbMc bypass regulator, -10 back to the tank. The key to the system is the check valve right at the tank since the fuel pump could not be mounted below the tank. It works so well that the system holds 2 psi pressure when it is off.

Here is the sump tank and check valve. The second picture shows the pump

RobbMc regulatror. I run just one -8 line to the carb because the log is -8. I think this is just a neater system than running 2 -6 lines.

Motor is coming back out due to head gasket not wanting to be part of this project. But I do have a few more pictures to prove that I am trying!

The cool custom carb hat is one that Mark made me. It is a stuggle to get all this stuff to fit under a stock hood line.

Have you spoken to Bobb at Finishline? Home of the procharged Buicks :TU: :Smarty:

Talked to him last week. He is getting my head gaskets for me. Really enjoyed talking to him.

I would not use that carb hat. So much research has gone into carb hats and how they can affect the tune, or possibly even keep you from ever getting your tune right......

I'd recommend the EV hat, or the CSU hat. They both have been proven.

That hat is the only thing that will fit under the hood. Not going to run a lot of boost. I have less than 3" of clearance.

Took a few steps forward again. Motor is back in with the rebuilt heads. Now running stiffer valve springs and Cometic gaskets. Stupid details I did not deal with.. cannot see timing marks! :Dou: So I have to make up a new pointer for the right side of the motor.

Blower belts and tensioner seem to work just fine. Allignment and tension were good at 2000 rpms. Now to get the timing right and get the bypass valve setup.

Here are a few new pictures. This is the power steering pump setup.

Two pictures of the blower beeing setup. I made the bracket adjustable. Much easier to get the belt on.

Here is the oil supply with the accumulator. I was worried about bleed off of pressure by the blower but does not seem to be a problem.

A few pictures to show alignment. Close to finished. Also picture of the new battery. Need the extra room to run the intercooler. Cranks the motor over fine. Does not have as much reserve as a normal battery.

How'd you progress on welding the sump to the bottom of the tank- I was thinking about buying a new tank to avoid the "Boom!" factor!! And how did you flatten out the ribs?

Thanks Devon, seems like walking through a swamp.

    Robert,
Not that big a deal, empty the tank then rinse it with soap and water a few times. Then you can cut out the section for the sump and dry the tank out. Do all your welding. I like to put in a can of Marvel and use a few cans or fuel additive in the first tank.
