Heres the deal. A couple weeks ago, my dad registered on this site as "WEIM55" on our home computer. I am also registered, but as "KevinsBuick." Every time I get on this site using our home computer, the forum directory is set for my dads screen name. I go to click the "log out" button and it says that my dad has been logged out. Then I'll close the site, and log back into it, and the screen name still comes up as "WEIM55." I can't get into my account at all!!!! I can't read my PM's, and I can't go to my subscribed threads. How do I log my dad out and log myself in?? Thanks, Kevin
Kevin, you probably need to clear cookies when you want to use your own login. At registration you are prompted for a yes/no response as to whether or not you want to be "cookied" on the board. thats a flaw in the bulletin software. I visit a phpbb forum and even with cookies check, you can logout and log in with another name. UBB infopoop forums work the same way too. You should be able to log out without clearing any cookies. login out should actually clear the cookie until you log in the next time. But not every forum is built the same. So it may not be considered a flaw of sorts.
