problem with the regal

    hey guys....dunno of its my tranny or something but here is my problem....it seems everytime i drive my 92 regal....and when i come to a stop....my car "kicks really hard"....like a bump!....i have no idea what it is....everything looks fine...shifting a lil harder then usual but i am clueless...please help its my daily driver....and i hate beating up buicks..any car if that..thanks :TU:

    Sounds like the converter isn't unlocking when it's supposed to, or it is downshifting really hard. Check to see if the transaxle has a vacuum modulator, some do. Check the modulator for a leak free vacuum supply, and the modulator itself to see if it holds vacuum and the diaphram isn't sucking ATF. Good Luck

    hey larry..thanks for responding...did you mean the modulator valve?...on the tranny itself?

    Yes, if the trans has one. Some did some didn't

    well i just looked and i found a cracked hose...heard air leaking..and the hose was going towards the tranny...man imm bummed...i would hate to take it to the shop...and get charged and arm and a leg so.....thanks again for responding larry :TU:
