I have a question here for all of you who decide to read it. I have started a few threads concerning what some parts I have would go for if I was to sell them. I have not recieved any responses to any of these threads. I have participated and started many other threads with succesfull responses, but whenever I post something to do with pricing parts it seems that nonone wants to jump in and help out, why is this? Is it on the sacralige to help someone price parts, or is it just up to me to deterime what the parts are worth myself, and that would be a tragedy since it would be the first parts to come off of my car and yet be up for sale. I would appreciate anyone who can help me on this subject I would appreciate it, thank you.

Andrew, I would have volunteered some info, but I have no experience with the specific items you listed previously. Mike should be able to give you some good ballpark figures though.

everybody would like to get a good deal. If you have a nice 67 star wars air cleaner that I would love to have for say... 200 dollars, but i know you could probably get 350 dollars for, then I would price my self out of the market, if I said that it was worth 350. There are a few folks on this board that are fairly wealthy, or have their financial priorities that put old buicks high on the list. Thats fine, but this hobby has gotten more unobtainable by folks that dont blink an eye when paying 600 dollars for a 4-speed consolette. if you want the most you can get ,then put your parts on ebay. Sorry for the vent, hope you get whats "fair" for your parts.

Gee Frank, I think that's all that he's asking for, is what are fair prices. That is something we encourage of members that are unsure of the value of parts they want to sell.

Read your post but have no experience with what you have. Sorry. Parts are an odd thing, somedays will bring lots, other days won't sell. maybe post it again and keep it near the top, eventually somebody will have some info.

And I have to agree with what was said above, I'm pretty lucky that I can almost buy what I want to finsh my ragtop, but the prices are killin me. I work hard for my money so I try to stay on the low end of prices when selling to give others a break. Sometimes it is reciprocated, sometimes not.

    Good luck.

I know pricing things can be a hard thing to do since that is why I am asking for help, but in reality that is what I am looking for is just a ballpark figure, nothing to and exact price.
