i think some will find this interesting. i've been watching some mopar parts auctions on ebay just to see where this stuff will go and i am surprised to say the least. right now, if you go look at ebay, do a search for " nos mopar " then sort by " highest priced items first " theres a chrome remote control E body racing style mirror at $ 1000.00 with time to go, some E body fenders w/ buy it now at $4000.00 EACH , already bid to about $2500.00 , E body nos trunk floor just ended at $ 2125.00
( reserve not met, i saw an nos steering wheel the other day at $ 1250.00 and watched two vendors whom i know snipe a 61 chrysler tail lamp ending it at like $ 735.00 etc etc. now i know the guys who bid on the t/lamp, they bid with the intent to make a profit. i know one guy who listed an nos cuda grille with a reserve of $1000.00 , it brought $3000.00 all are very rare, but wow. one of those vendors told me that his buddy paid ...............

first of all, everybody got their heart pills ?

for a GTO steering wheel ........ $ 2900.00 wonder if that would include free shipping at that price ? buick parts suddenly seem reasonably priced. hmmmm, the slower you go and the more time you spend on the tow truck, the more you have to pay for parts. i wonder what i will see if i do a search of ended auctions. i did see a pair of USED stage 1 emblems end at $153.xx just a day or two back. twice the price of nos ones. not passing judgement on anyone, just relaying what i saw. multi-millionaires dont care what they pay for cars or parts. they can drop $200k easier than i can drop $2k.

    take care. henry

the E body mirror just ended after two guys both bid
$ 1500.00 if it doesnt go NPB, i would say the seller won that one. henry

God... I remember when they were giving Mopar parts away! The cars were a dime a dozen in the local paper up until a few years ago. Now a " '71 Dart w/ Cuda wheels" is going for big bucks. Hello!! I've always been glad common folk can't spell Burick

hi jim yes it does make me glad, but the fact that its a buick is what i find most appealing.

i drive a buick 8 , just as my father did, and his father before him.

matt i remember the days of bargains too. back in the early eighties a " good " piece was a buck at the car shows and a
" great " piece was $10.00 to $ 20.00 wish i had bought more and sold less back then. i think we all knew it would be good stuff, but who could see the inflation ? not me, not to that extent. matt, look outside, its snowing hard in MD.

    take care, henry

    Henry,

It seemed like the early 90's, they still hadn't caught on as much and people just wanted 'em out of the back yard...

The snow is great... I'm ready for spring.

    Matt

P.S. Buicks were never mainstream, but, thats why we're here. Thanks JW& assoc.
