price for swap

    not sure here i am taking my GS down to get a posi carrier put in it and i was quoted 425 for the unit and 200 to put it in and out the shop. is that reasonable or should i keep looking for another place. cuz i would like to get back on the road asap :3gears: . thanks in advance

    THAT IS A GOOD PRICE TO INSTALL IT. IF HE IS DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY. I GET 150 TO INSTALL. WITH THE POSS IS THAT WITH A SHIM KIT, AND WHAT KIND OF POSS. :3gears:

    that would be an eaton unit and from what i understood it was every thing to get me back on the road. so i am going down after work to talk with him in person so hopefully every thing goes well and i can take her for a spin next friday.

    I think it sounds reasonable too. 425.00 is a real good price for the BOP type unit Eaton. Make sure you see the parts before and in the housing. Just to be safe. Ask to see that pattern if you can get him to do it. It is your money. Wish the best for you on the job. I hear alot of horror stories...Hope yours IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Jim
