What do you guys think an NOS 4 speed spark control switch is worth?
I located one but the seller wants 149.00 for it. The GTO's use the same part number of 9799850 (gr# 4.075 / gr# 2.408). Those GTO guys can get almost anything NOS for their cars. Im wondering if this part is available aftermarket or repro?

The only difference I see is that the one in the pic looks to have a post instead of a flat spade terminal. The pic is a little fuzzy. For a savings of over 140.00 Im thinking I can swap the connector on my harness.

Does that item screw into the back of the head on a 455? Reason I ask is I have a couple of them and saw the same/similar switch on a 70 455 I removed from a Wildcat last weekend. It was screwed into the driver's head (using one of the three holes on the back of the head that usually holds the front engine brackets when the head is facing forward)?

George...the item your refferring to is a cylinder head temp switch. They look quite similar but when compared side to side, but the temp switch is much smaller. I think they were only installed on the big cars as both the Rivs have them but not the GS's.
