I recently bought a 67 LeSabre. The body is in good shape and so is the frame, but the frame does have its share of surface rust. Sadly enough I live in the rust belt and this is my daily driver (it wouldn't be if I had enough to get a winter beater, I'm trying to rid myself of the caprice as that I think the trans is gonna take a dump on me). I'm wondering if I can coat the frame with anything to keep it from getting worse. Any help would be appriciated.

Wire brush the frame to remove loose rust. Apply the following from Home Depot(pic below) and let dry. Remove chalky residue and undercoat!

Got to Bruce's house, borrow lift, un bolt body, have body sit on lift arms, have lift lift up. Then put a coat of POR-15 on it. It'll stop rust forever. Then later on you can patch, or maybe you can just not fix it but just stop the rust. :TU:

Goodluck. I suggest removing the body and coating the frame with POR-15. No sandblasting needed. Takes about a day. :TU:

Thanx a lot guys, I'll check into it, I just am hoping I can keep the frame in the shape its in now, I hate to see another classic succumb to "Midwestern Winter Cancer" I should probably get on that within the next few months here to be sure I don't have worry about it over the winter. Rattin frattin drattin winter .
