Folks, Found out what the noise was. Three fingered pressure plate. One finger was lose and tapping the throw out bearing. Can't find a pressure plate now. Anyone know where I can get one? John in Doylestown
Wow thats a cool car! I saw the pics, but didn't get that it is a 3 on the tree. Is your flywheel one with the recessed surface? I think that changes the pressure plate size (to accomodate the recessed clutch surface) May have to pull and have it rebuilt. I would call Carmen Faso, he help me with a vibration at low idle with the 4 speed Queen Mary III. :beer Those pressure plates could go on the flywheel 3 different ways, but should only be one way. ou: Make sure you index it.
